Why Add Quinoa to a Salad?

Quinoa has really been in the nutrition limelight for the past couple of years and we think that is TOTALLY justified.

What’s so great about it? Well it’s really the diversity of nutrition that exists in it.

One of the more important aspects we found were the benefits of its amino acid profile.

There are a total of 20 amino acids that our bodies use to create the proteins in our cells that enable us to do literally everything we are capable of. Some of these amino acids our bodies can make but some, our bodies can’t. ‼️ In biochemistry, we use the an acronym PVT TIM HALL to remember the 10 amino acids that we have to get from our nutrition in order to function optimally.

Quinoa contains a good profile of 10 of the essential amino acids while also being a great low calorie filler so try to add it to your meal this week!
